The end of an extraordinary year in which the credit bubble burst and the financial sector is driven to long overdue restructuring. No matter how painful, the changes the burst brings will drive benefits to all of society in the long run. The new landscape, Finance 2.0 as it could be called, will hopefully be a better regulated and understood industry which serves business, the economy and its participants as it should. 

We believe that one of the major problems is that the financial industry has been poor at communicating. There is no doubt as to the importance of the sector, or that it needs widespread support. Central to winning support is to build understanding and this comes through better communication.
